Chelsea score late penalty to defeat Leeds United

Leeds United lost a pulsating 2-3 encounter to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge 

Arsenal returned to winning ways after a comfortable 3-0 win over Southampton

West London club, Chelsea, emerged 3-2 winners of a pulsating encounter against Leeds United at The Stamford Bridge to stay 3rd on the Premier League table. 

The away side drew the first blood when Raphinha scored a penalty in the 28th minute after Marcos Alonso tripped Daniel James in the penalty box.  

Mason Mount equalized for Chelsea in the 42nd minute, after he scored from an assist from Marcos Alonso.

The host took the lead for the first time in the 58th minute after Jorghinho scored a penalty after the referee awarded a foul against Raphinha for tripping Antonio Ruediger. 

Joe Gelhardt made it 2-2 to Leeds United after scoring from a pass from Tyler Roberts in the 83rd minute.  

Jorghinho scored a brace from a second penalty for Chelsea, in the 94th minute, to win the game 3-2 and stay 3rd in the league. 

Meanwhile, goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Martin Odegaard, and central defender, Gabrie,l in the 21st, 27th, and 62nd minutes gave Arsenal an emphatic 3-0 victory over Southampton. 

The result temporarily takes the Gunners back to the 5th position in the league,  Man United play against Norwich City in the last game of Saturday.
