Charly Boy vows to occupy Abuja as Election Tribunal delivers verdict

Charly Boy urged security agencies, politicians and thugs to avoid the protest

Nigerian singer, songwriter, actor and human rights activist, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy has insisted he will be carrying out his planned ‘occupy Abuja’ protest ahead of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s judgement.

TheNiche had earlier reported that the leading candidates in the February 25 presidential election who challenged the victory of the incumbent president and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu will know their faith today, Wednesday, September 6.

Tinubu’s main challengers are Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard bearer, Atiku Abubakar.

Speaking on the impending judgment via his social media page X (formerly Twitter), Charly Boy vows to embark on a protest alongside other Nigerians while the verdict is being delivered. 

He wrote: “Anyhow, we must occupy all the streets of Abuja before 6am. We will start with all the streets surrounding court house.

“Nobody is dying tomorrow, we know about their scare tactics.

“We must retrieve our stolen future from these criminals or be ready to face the most horrific hardship ever.

“There is nothing to fear, most of us are already down…

“We must show dem say our Mumu don Belleful us”

In a separate post, he also warned security agencies, politicians and political thugs to stay away from the protest and allow them to have a peaceful protest.

“We write this for all to read. Anyone, soldier, DSS, Police, Politician, Agbero, Asari Dokubo, Kabaka, Mc Oluomo that harms or kills any NIGERIAN IN THE COURSE OF FIGHTING FOR A BETTER NIGERIA takes a loan repayable soon.

“If you have sworn to carry out satanic instructions by ur demonic criminal masters, be also ready to face ur Karma.

“We have successfully purified the streets of Abuja for a successful outing later today.” Charly Boy further said.
