Charly Boy announces daughter, Yvonne is ripe for marriage, insists interested man must be rich

Charly Boy also made a list of other requirements the man must meet before he would allow them to tie the knot

Veteran Nigerian singer and actor, Charles Oputa better known as Charly Boy, has told interested suitors that his daughter, Yvonne is ready to walk down the aisle. 

The 74-year-old music maker made this known via a post he shared on his official Instagram page.

He, however, made a list of his requirements before giving her away for marriage, insisting the man’s “pepper must rest”

He added that he would deal with the intending husband if he lays hands on his daughter, adding that Yvonne is from a respectable home.

Speaking via his verified social media page, Charly boy wrote: “To Whom it may Concern. I dey take style look for husband for dis my Princess. Requirements: *Pepper must rest for ur hand, *The day u raise ur hand on my Princess is the day I’ll beat the sh*t out of you, * Must be ready to continuously pet her cos none of my pikin must be stressed, *Respect begets respect, We are Oputa’s, and we are not ordinary people, So prepare well well.”

After the post made the rounds online, it elicited mixed reactions from netizens who trooped to the comment section.

An IG user identified as @for_weluche wrote: “That was my Dad’s standard , he’ll tell you before hand and God did it, we’re entering 31 years next year.”

Another internet user, @kennedy_onyejiaka said: “We the suitors has questions to ask first, no.1, is your princess a v*rgin?”

@omaani27 added: “She’s def lucky, some of us don’t have family members that are protective of us like this.”

Another Nigerian @papii_grandee said: “In China, your pikin falls into the category of “leftover women”. She should pay the “groom price.”

While @markonyemaenu wrote: “Areafada, you no mention her qualifications na. Like age, character traits, etc.”
