Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has said Manchester City’s come-back win over north London club, Tottenham Hotspur, is a massive blow for league leader, Arsenal.

He made this known on Sky Sports after Pep Guardiola’s men came from behind to thrash Tottenham 4-2 in the Premier League (PL) on Thursday night.

Carragher noted that the Citizens demonstrated their ability to fight for results which is something Arsenal should watch out for.

City were 2-0 down at half-time at the Etihad Stadium against Spurs with goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal.

But rallied back through Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland’s goals and Riyad Mahrez’s brace to secure a 4-2 victory.

Former Liverpool defender, Carragher, while analysing the match said PL leaders Arsenal should be concerned about the champion’s ability to come back and get results.

According to him, City have gone 2-0 behind in the PL five times this season, but they ended up winning 3 of the fixtures and drawing two.

He said, “I think Man City now have got that thing that Manchester United had when I was a player.

“I think since May they’ve gone 2-0 behind in the Premier League five times and they haven’t lost one. They’ve won three and drawn two.

“There’s something special about them, we know that they’re a great team.

“That’s a massive problem for Arsenal this season, it’s been a big problem for Liverpool in the last few years. I think that result tonight for Arsenal will be a real blow.”

Despite the win, Arsenal still lead the PL table with 5 points, and City in second have played one more game.

Mikel Arteta’s Gunners are scheduled to take on Manchester United in what will be a crucial game for both teams on Sunday.

A defeat for the Gunners and a win for City would close the gap at the top of the table to just two points and mount pressure on Arsenal who are hoping to win the league again for the first time since 2004.
