Galatasaray manager, Okan Buruk has lamented his inability to call on Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen during his club’s UEFA Europa League clash against Rigas FS.
The Turkish side surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against their Latvian opponent in a game played at the Daugava Stadium in Riga, Latvia.
Osimhen could not feature for the Yellow and Reds during the encounter due to a muscle problem.

After the match, Buruk told the club’s official website that he believed that the 25-year-old striker could have helped his side get victory in the game.
Reacting to the loss of the Nigerian international, he said “Of course, we can have shortcomings here. Victor Osimhen was not there because he was injured.
“With him, you can find more solutions in such matches.”
Buruk added, “We saw that Icardi also moved around more and played more comfortably; but of course, I had higher expectations from the players who entered later in the game.
“Unfortunately, we could not do this. We had to produce more.”
