Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter,  Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed why he made the song ‘Thanks’, one of the tracks on his seventh studio album, “I Told Them.”

According to the Grammy-winning artiste, his grandmother was the inspiration behind the song.

Burna Boy made this known on Sunday via a post on his X handle (formerly Twitter), where he claimed he made the song because of his grandmother, who always wanted him to come home but was quick to ask him to leave anytime he visited.
