Ace Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has said he does not get the credits he deserves, despite his enviable achievements in the entertainment industry.

The ‘Last Last’ crooner made this known in a viral video, where he was surrounded by the likes of Nigerian-British show promoter, Adesegun Adeosun Jnr, aka Smade, and podcaster Adesope Olajide better known as Shopsydoo, after a performance at the Afronation festival in Portugal.

According to Burna Boy, he is not bothered about the development because even Jesus Christ did not get enough credit while alive.

He, however, took consolation from the fact that a lot of people are testifying that he is the best musician in the world.

It all started when Smade was heard in the video saying; “Burna, you keep blessing us mehn. No, you don’t get your credits enough bro. You’re the f*cking best in the world.”

Responding to his comment, the Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer said: “No, I don’t [get enough credits]. Jesus also didn’t get his own credits till he died, so who am I? [Laughs]”

After which Shopsydoo added: “It’s not about Afrobeats anymore, it’s about worldwide domination.”
