Bukayo Saka thanks Gov Sanwo-Olu after visit 

Bukayo Saka recently met with the governor at the Lagos House, Marina, where he also gave him one of his signed Arsenal jerseys

England international and Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka has taken to social media to appreciate the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu after he recently invited him over.   

Saka, who had a brilliant season for the Gunners during the 2022/2023 Premier League campaign, in the now-viral post described his experience with Sanwo-Olu as a great one.

The 22-year-old winger recently met with the governor, who is in his second tenure at the government house in Marina, Lagos.

The duo during the meeting had meaningful discussions before the Nigerian-born Three Lions striker gave him his signed Arsenal jersey.

Taking to his Instagram page on Saturday night after the courtesy visit, Bukayo Saka wrote, “It was great to meet and talk with His Excellency @jidesanwoolu. Thank you for the invite.”

The north Londoner recently signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium till 2027. 

The deal is thought to be worth at least £200,000-a-week, but could rise to £300,000-a-week due to bonuses. 

He is expected to leave Nigeria and return to England as soon as possible to join the England squad in the coming days for their UEFA Euro qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia on June 16 and 19 respectively.
