*Insists APC is committed to destroying Nigeria

Presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party (NCP) Engnr Martins Onovo has said that those claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari has integrity pedigree should have a re-think as he is yet to clear serious questions around his previous roles in public service.
Also he raised the alarm that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was bent on destroying the country given the incontrovertible indices on the ground.
He told The Niche in an exclusive interview in Lagos that Buhari has a lot of baggage surrounding his “claimed integrity plank”, just as he insisted that available data shows that APC has ruined the country.
Said Onovo, “There were serious questions around his (Buhari) previous roles in public service. Late Fela Kuti raised a question when he was a federal commissioner in the petroleum ministry on the N2.8 billion oil money that was missing. It was an equivalent of $3.5 million as at then.
“There is the question of the 53 suit cases when he came back as military Head of state.
“There is the question of the N25 billion audit gap in PTF when he was the chairman of the PTF. It was published in the front page of a national magazine.
“Those questions are unclear till date. Now there is the question of certificate, whether he is qualified to run for the office of the president since he cannot produce his WAEC certificate against the claims that he has none.
“There is a question of perjury when he swore that his certificate was with the military and the military said they didn’t have the certificate. That is a criminal offence.
“There is also the serious question about swearing to be fair to all as leader of the country but then he is sectional to some parts of the country.
“He is the same person that said people who gave him 5 percent vote during his election are not expected to think that he will treat them as those that gave him 95 percent vote. That is a contradiction of his oath on Koran.”
Onovo said APC has nothing to offer Nigerians as they have failed woefully on all promises.
He said the party has driven the economy to a point of stagflation which he said is worse than recession.
According to Onovo, “We are in economic stagflation which is a big crisis. The economy is not out of recession. It is false, the government chooses to mislead people not to know the depth in the danger it has driven the country into.
“APC was handed a growing economy why should they continue to blame former President Jonathan? It is difficult to accept their logic.
“Every patriot will have serious fears the way the country is going today and these are honest fears.
“And for people who do not understand the data is clear. What are the key considerations? They are: The GDP (Gross Domestic Product), unemployment, inflation, debt profile, exchange rate. These key indicators show very negative signs that the government has failed”.
