Sani said the level of callousness shown by the government will be heaped entirely on Buhari, even his most trusted aides will join in throwing insult on Buhari for failing the country.

A former senator who represented Kaduna Central, Comrade Shehu Sani, has predicted that most of the people currently hailing President Muhammadu Buhari as the best Nigerian leader ever, will turn around and insult him for failing the country once he leaves office.

In a live chat on the Twitter Space of Daily Trust, Sani said the level of callousness shown by the government will be heaped entirely on Buhari, even his most trusted aides will join in throwing insult on Buhari for failing the country.

He said Buhari is the only head of state that appoints non performing ministers and won’t sack them in the life of the administration. He added that the president does not even undertake routine reshuffle of his cabinet to give bite to governance. He said if by any reason a minister of the cabinet is to be replaced, it will take four years to do so.

On the debt profile of the country, Sani said: “Never at any time as a country has Nigeria been in so much debt. We keep borrowing from everywhere.”

On insecurity, he said whatever Buhari thought he has achieved would mean nothing if Nigerians are not secure.
