The President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari has said losing a parent is the most painful stage of one’s life.
Buhari, who expressed this sentiment in a statement to condole Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State who lost his mother, said he was deeply touched by the death of the Governor’s mother.
According to the President-elect, losing one’s mother is one of the most painful and stubborn memories in the life of children.
He said anyone that lost a parent before could easily appreciate the pains of Governor Yuguda and his siblings over the unfortunate loss of his mother.
The President-elect noted that death is inevitable, and that it is a test of one’s faith to suffer tragedies in life.
He prayed to God to give Governor Yuguda and the entire members of his family the fortitude to overcome the grief. He also prayed to Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal peace and reward his good deeds with paradise.
