President Muhammadu Buhari congratulated Iyeneobong Essien, a 16-year-old Nigerian girl, after finishing second at the Champion of Champions World Golf Championship Invitational in Northern Ireland.
Iyeneobong competed at the Invitational tournament from July 26 to 28 in the 16–19 age group.
She played on two difficult courses at the Lough Erne Resort in Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Northern Ireland: the Faldo Course and the Castle Hume Course

The President saluted the achievements of the youngster, who currently tops the junior player cadre in Nigeria, and has been credited with over 20 medals since she won her first medal at the age of five.
President Buhari also joined all Nigerians in celebrating the great teenager who is doing so much for the country by demonstrating that hardwork and determination pays, wishing the golfer more spectacular success in her career.
Iyeneobong has represented Nigeria severally at tournaments in Africa, Europe, and the United States.
