President Muhammadu Buhari has voted for his preferred candidate in the 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections.
Before casting his vote in the boxes on Saturday, Buhari displayed his ballot paper to show he voted for the candidate of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
There have been allegations that Buhari and some persons in the seat of power are not in support of Tinubu’s candidacy. But the Presidency strongly denied it.

Many believe the shortage of cash caused by the president’s redesign of some bank notes close to the election would cause the party misfortune at the polls.
Like her husband, Aisha Buhari also cast her vote at Polling Unit 003 at Sarkin Yara ‘A’ in Daura, Katsina State.
Buhari told journalists after casting his vote that the APC will emerge victorious at the end of the polls.
Accreditation and voting commenced around 8:30 am in some polling units in parts of Nigeria as the 87.2 million voters with Permanent Voter Cards go to the polls to elect a new president and members of the country’s National Assembly.
