Buhari in a statement says he condemned the terrorist attacks on the country and assured the states of all possible support from the federal government

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled families of those who lost their loved ones in the recent terrorist attacks in Sokoto, Kaduna and Plateau states.
In a statement signed by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu on Tuesday, the President said he has reviewed the situation following reports on the loss of several lives in the attacks, and assured all possible support from the federal government to the states, adding that “we have given security forces full freedom to deal with, and bring to end this madness.”
Terrorists last week caused the death of at least 20 people during an attack on Duma village in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The residents drowned in a River while attempting to flee bandits’ attack.
Also last week, terrorists attacked villagers in Damari town in Kazage Ward of Birnin-Gwari local government area of Kaduna State, killing at least 20 persons and abducting 50.
Last Sunday, in the Jos South local government area of Plateau State, the terrorists killed no fewer than seven people, including amputating the hand of a little child.
Buhari added in his statement: “I condemn these barbaric attacks on the country. I wish to assure the states of all possible support from the government of the federation. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly.”
