In July this year, Nigeria’s Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami, wedded Nana Hadiza, one of the daughters of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The wedding took place at a closed-door Nikkai ceremony held at Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja. The development was confirmed by one of President Buhari’s media aides, Garba Shehu.

Shehu was quoted to have said: “It is true. The AGF got married to the President’s daughter.” Other sources claim that although the ceremony was marked with a Nikkah, it went off with no official wedding festivities. Nana Hadiza is the daughter of Safinatu, President Buhari’s first wife.
