Former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, has clinched the presidential ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the forthcoming elections scheduled for February 2015.
He beat former Vice President, Abubaka Atiku; Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso; Imo state Governor Rochas Okorocha and publisher of LEADERSHIP Newspapers, Same Nda-Isaiah.
In the national convention held in Lagos which lasted for more than 35 hours, Buhari polled 3,430; Abubakar got 954 votes while Kwankwaso got 975 votes.
Okorocha polled 624 and Nda-Isaiah had 10 votes.
Abubakar and other contestants have conceded defeat and congratulated Buhari.
