The Alumni Association of Community Secondary School Ozubulu (formerly Boys Secondary School Ozubulu (BSSO/ CSSO), Anambra State, has joined other Nigerians in mourning the death of Senator representing Anambra South in the National Assembly, Ifeanyi Ubah. Ubah died in London, United Kingdom last weekend.
In a release expressing its sadness on the demise of the senator, the national president of the association, Reverend Dr. Emeka Onyeka, described him as a distinguished statesman and philanthropist, whose legacy of service and generosity has left an indelible mark on the school.
Though the senator was not a student of the institution, he was among the donors during the alumni’s fund-raising exercise to erect perimeter fence on the school. He was also reputed to have assisted a member of the BSSO/ CSSO Alumni win election to the House of Representatives on the platform of the Youth Progressive Party (YPP). Ubah was elected to the Senate on the ticket of the YPP but later defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
