Popular Afrobeats singer and author, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, better known as Brymo, has renewed hostility with his colleague, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, after urging him to resign from the pop scene.
He gave the cheeky counsel recently on his Instagram page, while advising the ‘Last Last’ crooner to “take a cause and focus.”
According to him, Burna Boy is trying to get his attention despite his achievements because he knows he is “on deity level” in the music industry.
He further added that he is willing to help Burna Boy if he asks like “a man and respectfully.”
Speaking via his verified social media handle, Brymo wrote: “@BurnaBoyGram Yo! Three things… 1. You need to leave the pop scene. You are seriously looking almost ugly and with a voice like mine that can’t sing to boot, take a cause and focus. You need to give the world the things you were deprived.
“2. Am on deity level. Any wonder why you can’t resist the yearning for my attention? Not even your international renown is enough to make you look past me who does not have anything supposedly close to what you are purported to have.
“What do you want? I can help if you ask like a man and respectfully.”
The two singers have been engaging in a social media war since Burna Boy dissed Brymo during a freestyle with his band in October last year following allegations that he stole Brymo’s song.
The ‘Ara’ crooner alleged that Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’ sampled the title track of his album, ‘Macabre’.
