South Africa head coach, Hugo Broos has named Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman as his team’s “danger man”.
He made this known ahead of his team’s crucial clash with Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday (today).
The Serie A striker heads into the FIFA World Cup qualifier in fantastic form netting five goals in his last three games for his club, Atalanta.
Prior to this, he impressed at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) where he scored three goals and registered one assist in six games.

He also scored a hattrick against Bundesliga champions, Bayern Leverkusen in the final of UEFA Europe League in London.
However, despite acknowledging Lookman’s threat upfront, Broos said that rather than focus on the striker, his team will concentrate in their own game.
“Obviously, the danger man is Ademola Lookman, but we are not focusing on that,” the Belgian told reporters in Uyo.
“We are focusing on our game, we have the ability and we have proven that at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire.”
