South Africa boss, Hugo Broos has said Bafana Bafana are battle-ready to take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final clash on Wednesday.
TheNiche had earlier reported that South Africa earned a place in the last four of the tournament after defeating Cape Verde 2-1 on penalties on Saturday night.
Captain Ronwen Williams saved four penalties to help the Bafana Bafana reach the semi-finals following a 0-0 draw against the Blue Sharks after extra time
Bebe, Willy Semedo, Laros Duarte and Patrick Andrade were all denied in the shootout by Williams, who has earlier made a spectacular late save to tip Gilson Benchimol’s first-time strike against the woodwork.
