The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr Paul Usoro, has just been arraigned before Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court Lagos Nigeria on a 10-count charge by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on offences bordering on money laundering.
He pleaded not guilty on all the counts and the court granted him bail in the sum of N250 million with one surety in like sum. The surety must be a civil servant who must not be less than Grade level 14 officer.
The defendant and his surety must deposit their travel documents with the chief registrar of the Federal High Court.
Trial adjourned to Februay 5 and March 6, 2019.
