Amaechi Mounagor, prior to his demise, suffered kidney failure and was on dialysis

Nollywood legend, Amaechi Muonagor, has passed away at the age of 61.
The popular thespian reportedly died on Sunday.
Prior to his death, he suffered kidney failure and was on dialysis.
The news of his demise came just few days after a viral video in which fellow actor, Kingsley Orji, solicited for funds to help him undergo Kidney transplant in India.
Speaking via his Instagram account on Sunday, he disclosed that Amaechi Mounagor left the hospital due to financial constraints.

Orji who spoke in both Igbo and English said: “It has not been easy. He has been in this condition for months now. He wants to go for a kidney transplant. What we want is for you to help us for him to travel to India.
“He just came back from the ICU in Nnewi Teaching Hospital a couple of days ago. He was responding to treatment but not very well.
“We decided to bring him home because there was no money but it is not advisable. He barely talks well. Please, he needs your help.”
As at the time of this report, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), the umbrella association he belongs to has not issued any statement on his demise, neither has his family
His death comes weeks after another renowned Nollywood actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu died.
