Ukpo, according to filings by the Metropolitan Police, claimed he was 15 years old, and lured to donate his kidney. It turns out he lied about his age
Age of David Nwamini Ukpo, the man who initially wanted to donate one of his kidneys to the daughter of a former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, is 21 years old, a Westminster Magistrates Court in the UK rules.
Recall that the UK police which arrested Ekweremadu claimed Ukpo was 15 years old while arraigning Ekweremadu for a plot to harvest the kidney of the child.
Today, July 7, Ekweremadu and his wife appeared in a UK court on and pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempting to harvest the organ of Ukpo. The case has been transferred to the Central Criminal Court and adjourned till August 4.

According to filings to the court, the case will no longer be transferred to Nigeria as it will be heard at the Central Criminal Court.
Some members of the Senate and delegates from the Nigerian High Commission attended the court hearing.
Former Senate Minority Leader Eyinnanya Abaribe; former Senate President David Mark; former Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Adamu Bulkachuwa were some prominent Nigerians at the hearing.
TheNiche had reported that the UK police allegedly claimed Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, brought a child (Ukpo) to the UK to harvest his organ.
The statement reads: “Ike Ekweremadu, 60 (12.05.62) of Nigeria is charged with conspiracy to arrange/facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.
“They have both been remanded in custody and will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court later today.”
“A child has been safeguarded and we are working closely with partners on continued support.
“As criminal proceedings are now underway we will not be providing further details.”
