Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has returned to Nigeria following a trip to the United Kingdom.
He was received by a delegation led by his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima, former APC national chairman Adams Oshiomhole and others.
Tinubu’s whereabouts have been a matter of public concern as party members said they did not know his location.
On October 3, 2022, Tinubu posted a video on social media, explaining that he is strong and healthy while dismissing the rumour that he was dead. He also dismissed claims that he had withdrawn from the presidential race.
In a tweet accompanied by a video showing him working out on a fitness bike, he wrote, “Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. Well… Nope.
“This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am ready to serve Nigerians from Day One.”

Several members of the APC tweeted the video of Tinubu’s arrival in Nigeria from London. Among them was the presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad.
He said, “Our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja from London.”
Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, and the Chief Press Secretary to Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile, also tweeted the video.
Keyamo had earlier in the day said the party could not continue defending Tinubu’s whereabouts every minute.
He said Nigerians were misconstruing the issues at hand, adding that Tinubu is the APC presidential flag bearer, not Nigeria’s president.
