The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a certificate of return to the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Vice President-Elect, Kashim Shettima, amid cheers from their supporters.
The event, which was held at INEC National Collation Centre in Abuja, saw many dignitaries, including the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and many others.
Tinubu, who was accompanied by his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, said that he was aware many people didn’t vote for him, but he was assuring them that he would be fair to all.

He said: “I know many did not vote for me and are disappointed that your candidate did not stand where I stand. I understand. I extend my embrace to you all. This big project is bigger than any political divide.
“To my supporters, have faith in our mission. For those who didn’t support me, do not allow your disappointment to not allow you to participate in what we can achieve together.”
