President Bola Tinubu is in a meeting with the former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Kwakwaso contested the February 25 poll on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). He came distanced fourth in the contest that also had the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party (LP) flagbearer, Peter Obi.
On May 16, TheNiche reported how Tinubu appears to be solidifying his base with a post-election alliance with Kwankwaso when they both met in France.

According to media report, the meeting centred on involving Kwankwaso in the incoming administration.
The meeting also discussed issues around the election of the legislative leaders ahead of the June 13 inauguration of the 10th National Assembly.
The first meeting between Tinubu and Kwankwaso started at 12.30 pm and ended at 4.45 pm.
The meeting between Tinubu and Kwankwaso irritated the then Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, who expressed displeasure.
Ganduje, an ally of Tinubu, was shocked that his old ally was now courting the support of his political enemy.
In a leaked telephone conversation between Ganduje and Ibrahim Masari, the man who stood as vice presidential placeholder for the All Progressives Congress (APC) before Kashim Shettima was finally chosen, Ganduje said the move by Tinubu was akin to a betrayal.
