Tinubu appoints Bayo Onanugu SA Information and Strategy

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bayo Onanuga as his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

Also appointed is Ms. Delu Bulus Yakubu, who will serve as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

The new appointments were announced in a statement on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

“As part of efforts to prioritize effective and efficient working synergy between the Presidency and Federal Ministries, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments of professionals who have prior working experience within the architecture of the Federal Ministries they will be coordinating with, in addition to duties that will be carried out at the President’s discretion,” the statement read.

“The President wishes the new presidential aides well in the discharge of their duties.”

TheNiche had earlier reported that Tinubu on Friday approved the appointment of the Governing Board and Management team of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), for a renewable term of four years in accordance with Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act, 2007.

The appointments were announced through a statement by Ngelale, titled ‘President Tinubu appoints new board and management of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency.’

By the announcement, Tinubu also dissolved the former governing board and management team of the agency

“President Tinubu expects the new appointees to achieve competent service delivery, given the central role that the institution will play in the sustainable health of growth-enabling infrastructure nationwide,” the statement read.

Member (North-West) — Aminu Adamu Papa

The President had earlier appointed new chief executive officers (CEOs) for agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

The appointments, Ngelale said, were in line with the president’s resolve to base Nigeria’s economic revival on the foundation of trade expansion through small, medium and large scale industry facilitation in the country.

The new CEOs are Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) — Hussaini Magaji (SAN); Industrial Training Fund (ITF) — Afiz Oluwatoyin; National Sugar Development Council (NSDC) — Kamar Bakrin; Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA) — Olufemi Ogunyemi; Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC) — Nonye Ayeni; and Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) — Aisha Rimi.

Others are Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority (OGFZA) — Bamanga Jada; Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) — Charles Odii; Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) — Ifeanyi Okeke; Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) — Rabiu Olowo; Nigeria Commodities Exchange (NCE) — Anthony Atuche; Lagos International Trade Fair Complex (LITFCMB) — Veronica Ndanusa; Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board (TBSMB) — Lucia Shittu; and National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) — Oluwemimo Osanipin.
