Supreme Court to deliver judgement in Atiku, Obi’s appeals against Tinubu Thursday

The Supreme Court of Nigeria will finally deliver judgement in the appeals lodged by the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, and his PDP counterpart, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, tomorrow, Thursday, October 26.

A source in Peter Obi’s legal team confirmed to our correspondent that the Supreme Court had communicated the new development to them. The Apex Court had on Monday, reserved judgment in the appeal filed by Obi and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, against the Presidential Election Petitions Panel’s judgment affirming President Bola Tinubu’s election.

The seven-man panel led by John Inyang Okoro after listening to the submissions of the parties involved in the matter said the judgment date would be communicated to them. With the new development, Nigerians are worried at the speed with the judgement is being delivered, given the hearing on the matter commenced on Monday.
