Spanish giants, Real Madrid, have won their third consecutive Champions League final beating English Premiership Club, Liverpool 3-1 to clinch the trophy.
With this victory, Real Madrid have not only won the trophy for the third time in a row, but also 13th in total. This is also their star player, Cristiano Ronaldo’s fifth European triumph
Liverpool went into the game with the fiery and fast front three of Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane leading the Reds, while the experienced trio of Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, and Ronaldo held forte for Real Madrid.
Unfortunately, Salah’s night ended in the 29th minute with an injury.
Had Liverpool triumphed, it would have been their sixth European title
With this victory, Cristiano Ronaldo may well be on his way to a sixth World Player of the year award.
