Peter Obi, is leading with 111,275 votes from five Area Councils in the presidential election results declared so far by INEC.

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, is leading with 111,275 votes from five area councils in the presidential election results declared so far by INEC.
Obi is followed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu who polled 61,306 votes declared while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is trailing with 47,336 votes.
The area councils declared as of 11:30am today were those of Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kwali, Abaji and Kuje .
Obi had earlier beaten his (APC) counterpart, Tinubu in Lagos, his home state.
Though Tinubu won more local governments, Obi defeated him with the majority of the votes cast. Obi polled 582,664 while Tinubu scored 541,850.

All the results of the 20 local governments have been declared. Tinubu won in 11 while Obi won in nine local governments.
The local governments won by Tinubu include Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere and Mushin.
Obi on the other hand won Eti-Osa, Amuwo Odofin, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Alimosho, Ojo and Somolu. Until the eventual outcome of the poll, Lagos had been touted as a major stronghold of the APC standard bearer.
