Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, has thrown his hat in the ring to contest for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket.
The APC has the most aspirants seeking its presidential ticket and has the most expensive nomination form – N100 million.
Why the N100 million nomination form is not discouraging the many APC aspirants is unclear.

Oshiomhole announced his presidential ambition in Abuja in a hall fully packed with supporters.
Before he began his speech, he announced to his audience: “I Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole declare with confidence to contest for the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
His ambition now puts him among the many aspirants jostling for the flag of the party.
As of the last count, the prominent aspirants that have declared in the APC include; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, ex-Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu, Ebonyi Governor, Dave Umahi, Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello, Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi, Cross River Governor Ben Ayade, Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, Senators Rochas Okorocha, Orji Uzor Kalu, Ibikunle Amosun, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba and Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio and now Oshiomhole.
There are speculations that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and Senate President Ahmed Lawan will also announce their bids for the APC presidential ticket before Friday, which is the closing date for the sale of the party’s nomination form.
