BREAKING: Nollywood actress, Adejumoke Aderounmu dies at 37

Aderounmu became a household name in the movie industry after playing the role of ‘Esther’ in the popular TV series Jenifa’s Diary

Popular Nollywood actress, Adejumoke Oreoluwa Aderounmu, has passed on. 

Born on March 26, 1987, she reportedly passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Her death was confirmed by Nigerian filmmaker, Seun Oloketuyi on his Instagram today, Monday, April 8.

He wrote: “A family member of former star of hit series Jenifa’s Diary Jumoke Aderonmu has tweeted that the budding Actress is dead. Details are still sketchy. May she find peace with her maker.”

The somber news of her demise which has now gone viral on many social media platforms was accompanied by graphics detailing her impending burial arrangements.

Despite the widespread grief, the cause of Adejumoke Aderounmu’s untimely demise remains undisclosed at the moment

She began acting professionally in the 2008 Tunde Kelani film ‘Arugba‘ where she played Princess Mobandele alongside Bukky Wright, Bukola Awoyemi, and Segun Adefila.

The versatile thespian later became a household name in the movie industry after playing the role of ‘Esther’ in popular TV series Jenifa’s Diary.
