A helicopter in the fleet of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) crashed early Monday in Tami Village located in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The aircraft was on a routine operational flight when it reportedly experienced technical failure.

It was gathered that a team of military officers from the NAF swiftly arrived at the scene to secure the area and conduct an initial investigation.

They cordoned off the crash site to prevent unauthorised access and ensure the safety of the villagers. The officers also began preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the crash, which remains unknown at this time.

The NAF had yet to release a statement on the helicopter crash at the time of filing this report.
