BREAKING: INEC okays resumption of campaigns

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday okayed the resumption of political campaigns.

This was revealed in a statement on the Commission’s verified Twitter handle signed by Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee.

The statement which said that INEC met on Monday, February 18, 2019 to review its operations for the rescheduled elections, stated that after consultations with political parties, it had approved that campaigns by political parties and candidates could resume forthwith and end by midnight of Thursday, February 21, 2019.
