Policemen attached to Very Important Persons (VIP) are supposed to provide security protection for them, not become one of their errand boys. But In Nigeria, the police have been reduced to handbag carriers and car washers.-

In 2016, the Police Service Commission (PSC) warned all police officers on escort duty with Very Important Persons (VIPs) to stop carrying their handbags and umbrellas as such practice was an insult to the Nigeria Police Force. The PSC at the time did not envisage that policemen would also become car washers.
