The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, whose tenure ended on Monday, February 1 after he clocked 35 years in service got a breather on Thursday as President Muhammadu Buhari extended his tenure by three months.
Announcing this to State House Correspondents after a meeting with President Buhari, Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, said the decision was to allow for proper selection of a successor.
There has been so much uncertainty over his fate since Monday.
