Three traditional rulers in Imo State have reportedly been shot dead by gunmen on Tuesday afternoon.
A story reported by The Nation said the royal fathers were having a meeting in Njaba Local Government Area when the shooting occurred.
However, the situation is still sketchy as at press time.
But this adds a new and very scary dimension to the issue of insecurity in the Southeast generally and Imo State in particular.
When contacted, the Chairman, Traditional Rulers Council in the State, Eze Emmanuel Okeke, said: “I have heard that some people were shot at the meeting in Njaba but I am trying to get the details.”
