Finally Tinubu compensates Bwala with Special Adviser portfolio, names three new DGs

After what looked like eternity, President Bola Tinubu has finally appointed Daniel Bwala, former spokesman to the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, as Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House).
Bwala is a lawyer and public affairs analyst.
In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu also named three others as directors-general of key agencies.
The appointees are: Olawale Olopade – new Director-General of the National Sports Commission. Olopade, according to the statement, brings extensive experience as a sports administrator. He previously served as the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chaired the local organizing committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival.

Dr. Abisoye Fagade, who now heads the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, is said to be a seasoned marketing communications expert and the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions.
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, previously held the position of Director of Research/Training and Strategic Planning at the bureau.
The statement further said the President has urged these newly appointed officials to approach their roles with dedication, patriotism, and excellence.
