The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested activist and convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore.
He was picked up at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Sunday immediately upon his arrival in Nigeria.
Confirming his arrest, fellow activist, Deji Adeyanju while speaking with DAILY POST said he was arrested for his role in the August protest.
He said, “SOWORE was arrested by the jobless and lawless Nigerian government for calling for an End to Bad Governance protest.”

Prior to his arrest, Sowore had disclosed that the Nigerian security forces tracked him down to his hometown in Ondo State.
The former presidential candidate claimed that security agencies were plotting to frame him as guilty of bogus offences.
He had disclosed this via his verified Facebook page on Saturday.
Speaking on his verified social media page, he said, “Yeah! All around in my home town, they’re tryin’ to track me down, yeah! They say they want to bring me in guilty.
“However Babylon must fall! #FearlessInOctober.”
