Senator Dino Melaye, a lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has arrived Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, ahead of his arraignment today.
According to a report by Channels TV, Mr Melaye was conveyed to Lokoja in an ambulance by the police authorities.
Recall that a statement on Wednesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, hinted of Melaye’s arraignment.
He is said to be held in the office of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad as at press time in preparation for his arraignment as soon as the courts open for work.
The embattled lawmaker is being arraigned for an alleged criminal conspiracy, causing damage to government property, attempted suicide and escape from lawful custody.
The Senator landed in the National Hospital after jumping out of a moving police vehicle on Tuesday, April 24.
