Breaking: Commercial motorcyclists protest in Lagos

Crisis has erupted in Amuwo-Odofin area of Lagos State, as commercial motorcyclists are protesting against the order by the council to off the major roads in the local government area.

The protesters, who blocked the roads along the popular Apple Junction, Mile 2 areas, have caused heavy traffic along Ago Palace Way, Mile 2 since Tuesday morning, when the protest started.

They were also accusing the council workers of extortion.

Meanwhile, no presence of any law enforcement agent in the area.

A motorcyclist, Hasan Adamu, who confirmed the protest, said that the council was trying to force them out of business, when there is no money for them to buy food.
