Rico Swavey’s management before his death had released a video of the accident scene and updated his fans on his health status

Big Brother Naija season 3 housemate and Nollywood actor, Patrick Fakoya, better known as Rico Swavey has died.
His death was confirmed on Thursday, October 13, by fellow BBNaija reality star, Alex Asogwa a.k.a Alex Unusual via a post on her official Twitter handle.
She wrote: “This was not what we agreed Rico. Rest In Peace #ricoswavey.”
Another TV reality star, Tobi Bakre in a separate post also confirmed the demise of the thespian.
Taking to his Instagram page, he shared a photo of him and the deceased, saying the picture will continue to remind him of the late Rico.
He wrote, “This is how I will remember us brother. Forever”.

TheNiche had earlier reported that Tobi Bakre cried out to the public to help save his colleague’s life.
Pleading on behalf of Rico Swavey, whom he noted was on life support, he solicited funds from Nigerians to help pay his bills and keep him alive.
He wrote, “Pls help save Rico. He had a really bad car accident. We have to keep him on life support and continue to pay the rising medical bills while we pray for God’s miracle. Can’t do it alone”
Prior to that, Rico Swavey’s management had released a video of the accident scene and updated his fans on his health status.
“Hello everyone, Rico Swavey is not disposed to handle his socials right now as he was involved in a ghastly accident and is currently on life support. While his situation is critical and doctors are on him, We implore your support and prayers. Signed: Management,” the post on Twitter reads.
Alex Unusual was the first to share the sad news on her Twitter page on Tuesday, October 12.
According to her, the accident occurred a few hours before sharing the post, she added that the doctors were trying to resuscitate him at the time she left the hospital.
Alex further asked fans to put Rico Swavey in their prayers, as he was in a critical position.
