Enoch Adegoke, Nigerian sprinter has qualified for the final of the Tokyo Olympics men’s 100 meters final after coming 2nd in the second semi-final with a time of 10 seconds
His compatriot , Itsekiri, however crashed out in the first semi-finals after coming 7th In a field that had 7 other athletes, this is because the Great Britain athlete was disqualified.
Adegoke will join 7 other athletes in the final of the event later in the day. The fastest athlete in the event this year and one of the favourites tipped to win , American Trayvon Bromell , did not qualify.
In the women’s 100 meter hurdles , Tobi Anusan won her semi finals with a time of 12.62 seconds to advance to the finals of the event too.
She will be joined in the finals by 8 other athletes, including, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Porto Rico , who broke the Olympic record with a time of 12.26 seconds in the last of the three semi-finals.
