A seasoned newscaster with the Nigerian Television Authorities (NTA), Aishat Bello, formerly known as Aisha Katung, is dead.
Her death was announced on Sunday, in a statement by a member of her family.
The statement reads, “Innalilahi wa inna Alaihin Rajiun. May Allah forgive our mother, Hajia Aishat Bello Mustapha.
“Mama, indeed, you are a very kind-hearted person. We will miss you, and we hope you are enjoying Rahma.
“Funeral prayer will be held at 1pm on Monday, December 11, 2023, in Abuja’s central mosque.”
Until her death, Aisha Bello, was a prominent media personality, leaving an indelible footprint on the landscape of Nigerian broadcasting.

Aisha holds a Bachelor’s degree Mass Communication/Media Studies from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU).
The seasoned newscaster was renowned for her compelling eloquence in news delivery, captivating Nigerians and households across Nigeria and beyond.
Aisha’s versatile skill set spanned journalism, television production, broadcasting, editing, and her notable role as the General Manager of NTA Parliament. Her professionalism and distinctive style solidified her as one of NTA’s most esteemed voices, leaving an indelible mark on the broadcast industry.
She retired in 2022 after an extensive 35-year tenure concluding a remarkable career within the broadcasting industry.
