Bomb rocks Katsina, 6 feared killed

The climate of insecurity in Katsina State, Nigeria’s North West, darkened further on Saturday, with explosion of a suspected improvised bomb, with six people feared killed.

According to The Nation the explosion went off in Yardagi village in Zango Local Government Area of the State. The victims were killed at the farmland where the bomb was planted. Six other persons were said to have been injured by the blast and had been rushed to hospital.

Katsina is the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari. It has in recent time been in the throes of insecurity, occasioned by terrorists and bandits. Recently, youths in Katsina embarked on protest against the level of insecurity in the state, demanding the resignation of President Buhari and the governor, Aminu Masari
