Bolanle Ninalowo mourns late Nollywood director, Dimeji Ajibola

Popular actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, has taken to social media to mourn the death of Nollywood director and editor, Dimeji Ajibola.

The movie maker reportedly gave up the ghost in the early hours of November 3, 2024, after a battle with an undisclosed illness.

The deceased was the director of a 2023 popular Nigerian crime thriller series, ‘Shanty Town.’

He was also the brain behind ‘Hoodrush,’ a 2012 urban musical film that won multiple awards, including Best Movie at the 2012 Green Me Film Festival in Germany.

Taking to his Instagram page to pay his respect to the late producer, Ninalowo shared the deceased photo and wrote: “I love you, brother, and I miss you, Dimeji Ajibola. May God heal your family and loved ones. Till we meet again, didi dox, rest on the champ.”

Ajibola adds to the growing list of Nollywood actors, who passed away in 2024.

They include Charles Oluomo (Agbako), Adejumoke Aderounmu, Quadri Oyebamiji, John Okafor, Junior Pope Odonwodo and Amechi Muonagor.
