Over the weekend, reports and images emerged of Chadian President Idris Derby leading his troops to a resounding victory against Boko Haram terrorists.
Within 48 hours of sustaining mass casualties of his troops, Chadian President Derby visited and mobilized for a major counter offensive.
He then led the successful punitive expedition that inflicted major havoc on the terrorists.
Nigeria also sustained major military casualties. The regime of Nigeria’s Major General Buhari not only denied it but fired General Adeniyi who requested arms to fight back.
So not only is Buhari not leading from the front, he is marginalizing those leading the battle while relaxing comfortably in the presidential villa doing photoshoots or photoshops as the case may be.
Any doubt therefore that Buhari is the worst president ever in the history of Nigeria?
Videos show Nigerian Troops cheering the arrival of the Chadians and some were even reportedly freed from captivity by them. In effect, Chad’s Idris Derby provided the reinforcements that Nigeria refused to give.
Who in their sane mind would cheer for Major Gen. Buhari’s mishandling of and indifference to National Security?
It is no wonder then that the administration of former US President Obama, despite all the pressure we brought to bear on him, refused to engage the US army directly with the Nigerian army to rescue the abducted Chibok girls. At the time, we were told that they didn’t trust the seriousness of the Nigerian army (to put it mildly.)
Instead, President Obama deployed 300 US troops to Chad to help in the counteroffensive against Boko Haram and the search for the Chibok girls.
Yet Major General Buhari in his first visit to America upon election, accused Obama of “aiding and abetting” Boko Haram.
In light of what happened last week, Obama stands vindicated and is owed an apology.
While Chadian troops are slaying terrorists, Buhari’s troops are brutalizing innocent citizens worse than the corona virus has.
Instead of “terror shoot” he is having “photo shoot.” What a disaster of a ruler and so-called Mjr General who is nothing more than a Photo-General.
To expose how horrific the security situation now is, one of the victims we support and have reported about, traveled to take her sick mother from the Borno area near Chibok to the hospital in January.
They were ambushed and abducted on the way but later ransomed to freedom.
The day before yesterday, her sick mother returned to the village near Chibok. Yesterday Boko Haram Terrorists attacked them and burnt down the village – barely 24 hours after her return, she’s internally displaced!
In the past few years of the Buhari regime, majority of the Chibok girls in USA, their villages in Borno have been sacked by terrorists with many of their families as IDPs six years after the initial mass abduction.
We thank Idris Derby for his onslaught against the terrorists via leadership osmosis. Leadership seeped from a region of greater concentration to a region of lower concentration!
