An attack blamed on Boko Haram killed 21 people in the key city of Maiduguri, Borno State capital on Sunday, a top emergency services official said on Monday.
Mohammed Kanar, Head of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the zone, confirmed the assault on Jiddari Polo, an area on the outskirts of Maiduguri and told AFP that 21 people had died and another 91 were injured.
