Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter Daniel Benson, better known as BNXN and formerly known as Buju, has won the 2022 Headies ‘Next Rated’ award.
He won the award in a ceremony that took place at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on 4 September.
Other prominent Nigerian artistes such as Olamide, Wizkid, and Adekunle Gold also won individual awards at the 15th edition of the Nigerian music award.

Some other singers picked awards in various categories, they include foreign artistes such as Angelique Kidjo (Benin Republic), Akon (US), Wyclef Jean (US), Innoss’B (Congo DRC), Diamond Platinumz (Tanzania), Latifa (Tunisia) Focalistic (South Africa).
