I have been asked to explain 5G, as well as give my take on Dr Thomas Cowan’s claim that 5G caused coronavirus. I will respond to the two inquiries, starting with the first.
5G is the fifth generation of wireless communications technologies supporting cellular data networks. The primary differences between the 2.4 GHz (4G) and 5GHz (5) wireless frequencies are range and bandwidth.
5GHz provides faster data rates at a shorter distance, whereas 2.4GHz offers coverage for farther distances, but may perform at slower speeds. Also, higher frequencies allow faster transmission of data, also known as bandwidth.
Notably, both 4G and 5G belong to the microwave spectrum of high frequency (HF) (300 KHz-300 GHz) electromagnetic radiations. These EM radiations are of non-ionizing type as the energy they emit is too low to break chemical bonds in biological systems.
These radiations being non-ionizing are incapable to interact with human cells to cause cancer or mutation; mutations possibly result in diseases and infections.
Now to Dr Thomas Cowan’s claim: I have watched Dr Thomas Cowan’s video on the effects of 5G on humans. In his presentation, Dr Thomas Cowan claimed that 5G is the cause of the first infections that result in the COVID-19 virus and thereafter resorted to Rudolf Steiner’s spiritual science to aver that “viruses originate from the substance of our DNA and, like the DNA, can influence the metabolism of cells, thereby making them alien to the organism.
“If an infection occurs, viruses penetrate the organism. The organism recognizes that certain cells are made alien by the viruses, begins to do something other than what is best for the whole. It begins to turn against these cells to eliminate them. This is what creates the symptoms of the disease that now breaks out: the organism is trying to get rid of the infected cells to get rid of the viruses that have invaded, by employing, for example, coughing, fever, and phlegm. Anyone who dies of a viral infection can therefore also be seen as a victim of their own immune defence” and by extension the original cause of the disease which in the present COVID-19 case is 5G.
However, in respect to the effect of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation on humans, Dr Cowan’s position appears to be distantly collaborated by a preliminary study by my students on the effects of low weak alternating magnetic field on life systems, the results of which indicated that some physical characteristics of water, which makes up to 70% of human cells, were significantly affected by these class of magnetic fields but could not possibly be capable of interacting with human cells to cause cancer or mutation.
Therefore, going by our results and those of other scientists working on the effect of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation on life systems, my take is that the 5G EM radiation is not likely to cause a virus outbreak on the scale of COVID-19 pandemic, given that some other environmental and biological factors could possibly be driving the COVID-19 phenomenon.
More so, COVID-19 stays hours or days outside living cells of a host, which going by known scientific definition doesn’t make it a virus.
In that respect, I want to propose that it’s not a virus, but a phenomenal organism that behaves as a bacteria and virus at the same time, which can be described just like the case of wave-particle duality of matter in quantum mechanics.
Furthermore, in this light, I want to strongly recommend that scientists think out of the box just as a group of physicists did at the beginning of the 20th century when the problem was to explain the nature of light; if it is a wave or particle. And It took the de Broglie’ hypothesis of wave-particle duality of matter to resolve the issue.
